10 easy things to do to 1. Turn off the lights when you leave the room. 2. Unplug rechargeable devices when not recharging. 3. Plug TV's DVD Players, computers etc into power strips and turn off at night or when you leave. 4. Change incandescent light bulbs with energy saving compact fluorescent bulbs. 5. Open the windows for some fresh air when weather is pleasant instead of running the mechanical heating or cooling system. 6. Turn off the energy-hogging dry cycle of your dishwasher. 7. Walk or bike to where you need to go. Enjoy the outdoors. 8. Do you really need to print that document or email? If so use the back side of scratch paper or double side your printing. 9. Take your reusable coffee mug or drink bottle instead of throwing one away every time. 10. Donate used books etc to the library. Give or sell other used items at garage sales or thrift stores. Or the reverse buy your books at our book sale or your other items at garage sales or thrift shops. |
