Fall Library Programs Start on Tuesday, September 7


 

Second Saturdays

Family Time @ Your Library

The Library hosts a family program every second Saturday of the month
from 10:30-11:30am in the Community Room. There is no need to register.

 

Signing Time @ Your Library

Signing Time @ Your Library is expanding to a weekly program on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm beginning September 7th.
Laura Rasmussen welcomes families to learn American Sign Language through hands on signing, books and music.
Please register in the Children's Area of the Library



Preschool Programs

 

Babygarten

Babygarten brings caregivers and babies together for 45 minutes of rhymes, songs, books and free play time. This program'sprimary focus is the healthy development of infants aged 0-24 months with an emphasis on language enrichment and pre-literacy skills.
Register your infant in the Children's Area of the Library.

Mondays from 10-11am starting September 14

 

Storytimes for Preschoolers

Children ages 2-5 years old and their parents/caregivers will hear stories, learn rhymes and
enjoy music during this 30 minute program.

Register your child(ren) in the Children's Area of the Library for one of the following sessions:

Tuesdays: 10am or 6pm
Wednesdays: 9am or 10am
Storytimes will begin September 7th and 8th

 

 

Getting Ready for Kindergarten

Afternoon Storytime

Children ages 4 and 5 that are entering kindergarten next fall will now have a storytime of their own. Literacy skills for children entering kindergarten will be highlighted during this 30 minute program.
Wednesdays at 2pm beginning September 8th.

 

Preschool Pumpkin Parade

The 8th Annual Preschool Pumpkin Parade will be held on Friday, October 29th. Preschoolers are invited to wear their Halloween
costumes and join us for a parade down Main Street to "Trick or Treat" the Downtown Merchants. Preschoolers, their parents
and siblings will meet at the Library where the parade begins at 3pm.

 


 

School Age Programs

Please register your child(ren) for Book Bunch and Reedsburg Readers in the Children's Area of the Library.

Book Bunch (Kindergarten-2nd Grades)

This is an after school program for children in kindergarten, first and second grades that meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month.
Each session will feature a picture book, crafts, games and a small snack. The Community Room doors open at 3:10pm
Book Bunch ends at 4:30pm beginning Tuesday, September 14th.

Reedsburg Readers (3rd-4th Grades)

This is an after school, book discovery club for children in 3rd and 4th grades that meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. Kids
should bring their library cards to check out the book that will be read and discussed. A snack is provided. The Community Room doors open at 3:10pm and Reedsburg Readers meet until 4:30pm beginning Tuesday, September 7th.

5th Tuesday Program

Book Bingo & Board Game Day- Tuesday, Nov. 30

All children in K-4th grades are welcome to play board games on the fifth Tuesday of November starting
after school until 4:30pm.The Library will provide snacks and a variety of board games.

Early Release Movie Day

The Reedsburg School District has an early release day on Friday, November 5th and the Library
will be showing "How to Train Your Dragon" starting at 1:30 pm. This film is rated PG
