[Sept. 8, 2018, MADISON, Wisc.] — Residents impacted by recent storms and flooding are invited to find convenient access to recovery assistance and health resources Saturday at one of two special storm recovery sessions in Sauk County.
Working with local leaders in Sauk County, the Red Cross will station disaster case workers and health/mental health assistance during the day Saturday in Reedsburg and La Valle, two of the areas hardest hit by storms.
Residents impacted by the storms and flooding since mid-August – no matter where they live – are invited to meet with Red Cross to begin to connect with resources, including possible immediate financial assistance, at these times and sites:
* La Valle Town Hall, 314 Highways 58N/33W: 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8
* Reedsburg Public Library, 370 Vine St.: 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8
Residents will continue to have opportunities to connect with Red Cross during this disaster recovery process. These two sites are meant to bring numerous case workers to two of the most heavily impacted areas in our state. We will continue to work with emergency officials in Sauk County to identify additional days and sites for impacted residents to most easily find recovery resources.
